Last time we covered rawalya and also attempted jawalya. But we couldn't cross the rock patch. This time we had the singular goal of conquering the rock patch. Since we had only one fort as our target we were relatively fresh when we reached the rock patch. The afternoon light also helped in clearly showing the slope and possible footholds. It's a tricky patch but one can do it with some courage. Also this time there were no monkeys around. The rock patch is only halfway to the top. There is lot of ascent left beyond this point. There is easy trail up to couple of water tanks carved in rock. The trail turns left from here into an ascent all the way to top. It is full of loose earth.

Hiking/Backpacking

Carry a walking stick, good head covering and lots of water. There are lots of places, right from bottom where you can use walking stick especially while descending.
