This trail is best suited for monsoon. Most of it is on the eastern side and there are some exposed sections. During dry months you will face sun and experience lot of heat in those sections. The trail was also marked by orange cloth tied to the trees. There were some places where trail was difficult to follow because of burnt sections. You should consult ramblr trace at such places.

It’s a fort near Bhivandi. Located on Wada road.
We searched for “Gumtara trek start” on google maps and parked our car near the road.
The start point of the trek is about 1.5 kms from the motorable road. Actually a vehicle with good ground clearance / off roader can cover good part this last patch but one needs to drive carefully here.
Once you come to the start of the actual trail marked by the board, you can follow it all the way as per the trace given here.
