Chichvali route is a bit longer than the Tamsai route..From Badalapur one can reach Chinchavali Village and from Panvel you can reach Tamsai village. both routes meet just below the cave. Strictly No go for Newcomer trekkers..At max one can go till Cave but not on the top of the fort.. Avoide in monsoon. Even the route till the cave needs high endurance.. To reach the top one should be a seasoned trekker cum climber.. The route is properly marked with arrows, Cairns and ribbons.
To reach Fort top one has to go down the slippery path immediately after the cave. You will find one small white rope tied to the boulder. After 100 meters you will find another rope hanging from the top on your left side.. Take the left immediately once you climb that patch with the help of rope. Look for the Arrow mark which guides you to the top..Carry at least 3 liters of water and food..Park your vehicle next to the pri school ground. Trek starts just next to it. watch for Garbage bin. Take t right road.
