The purpose of today’s focus on Start Hill was twofold. One was to clean up overhead branches that were hanging like closed drapes across the trail due to a tree partially falling. The other reason to focus on Start Hill was to prep it for mowing. I trimmed face slappers and overhead debris and removed small tree debris from the edge of the trail to make it easier for mowers. I also cleaned up the hanging drapes. The tree remains over the trail, but it is high enough it will not interfere with cyclists.
