Surveyed the Phelps section and FSR 2014. Trail overall is in good shape and pleasant hiking. Notes:
- Both the west half of Phelps and FSR 2014 are tree- free.
- All signs are good.
- There are ~8 small trees across the trail in the East half of Phelps. These can be removed with hand saws.
- There are two trees, including a crown blocking the trail, that need a small (14") chainsaw to clear.
- Bridge approach is partially washed out, Is still serviceable.
- 2 puncheons in good shape.
- 1 puncheon has partially washed out approach.
- A couple of ladder root sections, trail could use nudging.
- 1 large trampoline, trail could use nudging.
- Campsite in good shape. Tent pad could use new perimeter boards and fill to raise it a couple of inches. There are 4-5 small dead standing pines, they are not a threat tot he campsite.
