Ambewadi - One Tree Hill - Matheran Mkt - Kadyacha Ganpati - Peb fort - Fanaswadi

We picked up local Kali Piwali Van and reached to Borwadi fata. From there we took auto upto Ambewadi Village. Ambewadi school is starting point of trek. There are 2 wells ahead. From these wells this route goes to matheran one tree hill directly. Route is continuously ascending. good patch for ascending. in last patch to matheran this route is going through waterfall. Risky in rainy season. avoid this. once you corss this you will reach to one tree hill. There is no more one tree on the hill but still people call by that name. apart from water fall patch all is easy category. once you reach one tree hill point from there up to mkt falt walk. i always like walk in the matheran. From mkt you take route train rails upto Aman Lodge. from Aman lodge continue on rail rules upto kadyach ganpati. here you can view sunset point and Dodhani village.from kadyacha ganpati you can take right to go to Peb fort. this route has 2..3 patch lil bit difficult patch . when there is algee growing on rock these patch are difficult. need to go carefully. all the route towards peb is raw, covered with small grass. there is sheedi at 2 places. One is in betn. and other is at the start of Peb near tatbandi. once you cross ther is samarth math and next to it mandir. Beside mandir there is water tank. You will get route from this water tank. Descend is becoming very challenging in rainy season. There are white marking on the stones also plastic bottles are tied on entire route which will guide you for exit. there is Tata towers viable from distance you have to follow those Tata head wire through out descend. nice trek in small rain but when rain is in full swing please avoid this route. otherwise trek is very enjoyable and one of the beautiful range trek of Matheran. Must do in small rain. start early n close before sunset.
