Rambaug point Matheran via Burunjwadi

We took the State transport bus from Karjat - panvel (11 Rs) at 9.30 am n reached Borgaon fata within 15-20 mins. from there we hired an auto which took 150 Rs up to burunjwadi approx 20-25 mins. From here we started trekking. Initially we thought it would be some unexplored route but after some time we came to know lots of villagers were using this route to go to matheran for horse feeding. This is very easy to ascend. The majority of the trek route is covered with trees so no summer burning. No source of water in betn so carry water with you. After reaching on the top we took the normal matheran route up to Dasturi. we followed the train route. after reaching on top we came to know this was a historical route developed by Sir H P Malet in 1850 by investing 500 Rs. that time. You can witness some of the rock patches in between this route. You can see the Garbett platue on the right once you reach Rambaug point.
